Over the years I have photographed lots of children mainly on location or in their own homes, documenting them in their natural environment. However, since becoming an ambassador for Phottix I have been given the flexibility to take my photography to the next level working with portable studio lighting which can literally be taken anywhere to create more dramatic portraits.
This year I undertook a number of fine art children’s portraits as part of a promotion I was running. Fine art portraits are a great way of capturing your child in a way that you would perhaps not normally see them in front of the camera. No doubt you likely have many snap shots of your children with their well practised smile for the camera but creating a fine art portrait is reminiscent of a classical painting that reflects a more soulful side to your child. A fine art portrait will also stand the test of time and looks fantastic as wall art hung in your home.
The sessions themselves are not too lengthy meaning your child won’t get bored but are just long enough to capture them at their most relaxed.
With Christmas being only two months away now could be the perfect time to book your child’s sitting, creating either wonderful gifts for your family or as a beautiful present for your child to keep for future generations.
